Nurture Your Child’s Full Potential

Every interaction your child has with the world around him helps to shape the way his brain develops. In this interactive presentation you will discuss specific ways to encourage your child to explore the environment and strategies parents can use to help the brain develop in healthy ways.

PRESENTED BY:

Adriana has B.S. in Psychology from the University of San Buenaventura in Medellin, Colombia and a Masters degree in Counseling at Southern Methodist University (SMU). A native of Medellin, Colombia, Adriana began her work in Dallas as a parent educator for Avance-Dallas teaching parenting skills to Spanish-speaking immigrants in 2003 and joined the University of Texas at Dallas in 2009 as a research assistant for a Self-Regulation and School Readiness study. In July of 2011, she joined the Center for Children and Families where she has played an instrumental role in the development, implementation and expansion of Play with Me, a playful learning program for children 0 to 3 years old and their parents designed to promote strong parent-child relationships and children’s socio-emotional, physical, language and cognitive development. She loves working with children and parents.
