WHAT TO EXPECT:
Comprehensive Clinical Evaluations
In order to better meet the needs of our community, the Warren Center now provides comprehensive early childhood evaluations with a multidisciplinary team. This team will include a speech therapist, an occupational therapist, and a clinical psychologist. The evaluation will center on addressing questions about Autism SpectrumDisorder and related disorders common in kids who need therapy services.
WHAT WE OFFER
Comprehensive evaluations that include information gathered from parents, teachers, and other important people in your child’s life, as well as behavioral observations and direct assessment of your child’s abilities.

To rule out any developmental or intellectual difficulties impacting your child’s ability to learn and grow.
Using interviews and observation of your child’s social and behavioral functioning in structured and unstructured settings.
Using reports from parents and teachers as measures of your child’s everyday abilities related to social skills, self-care abilities, mood and emotional regulation, and disruptive behaviors.

COMMON SYMPTOMS
- – With a suspicion of Autism Spectrum Disorder
- – Without diagnoses or suspicions of certain neurological disorders (e.g., following a stroke, traumatic brain injury, or neurosurgery or relating to a medical diagnosis such as epilepsy, hydrocephalus, or cerebral palsy)
- – Impairments in social interactions and communication (e.g., poor social skills, unaware of others, lack of speech or language)
- – Restricted or repetitive behaviors or interests (e.g., focus on unusual sensations, body rocking, trouble with transitions, insistence on sameness)

FEEDBACK SESSION
Phone call(s) to determine if this is the right type of evaluation for your child.
Parent interview with our psychologist to review your concerns and determine what questions you hope the evaluation will answer.
Evaluation or screening (limited testing) with a Speech and Language Pathologist and/or an Occupational Therapist Psychological evaluation with our clinical psychologist.
On last day of testing – Parent session with the team to review test results, clinical impressions, any diagnoses found, and recommendations for treatment and services.
