Stop The Summer Slide
While summer is often seen as a time to relax and recharge, it can present unique challenges for children with developmental delays and disabilities. Without consistent access to therapy and structured learning, many of these children face what’s known as the summer slide—a regression in skills that can make it harder to catch up once the school year begins again.
The Warren Center is dedicated to helping children avoid these setbacks by continuing services throughout the summer months. Our summer programs provide a vital bridge between school years, ensuring that kids stay engaged, supported, and on a path of continued progress.
These programs focus on:
• Cognitive and learning skills, helping children retain and build on concepts that support academic readiness, such as early literacy and math foundations
• Gross motor development, including activities that improve balance, coordination, and mobility—important for physical independence and confidence
• Fine motor skills, such as writing, feeding, and dressing, which are essential for everyday tasks and classroom participation
By continuing therapy in the summer, children don’t just maintain their progress, they keep climbing toward their goals.
Donate today and help a child keep climbing.
Because of you, there are no limits.
