Our clinic enrolls children three to five years old, and continues to serve them as they get older. The licensed speech-language pathologists, occupational therapist and physical therapist focus on communication, social, sensory, and motor/coordination skills utilizing our sensory gym, outdoor therapy yard, motor room, small therapy rooms and group classroom.
Physical Therapy
The goal of physical therapy is to improve a child’s ability to move and interact with their environment. At The Warren Center our physical therapists assess a child’s current physical skills and identify areas of functional motor limitations. We help children develop and build motor skills important for the completion of daily activities and mobility.
Areas our physical therapists may provide evaluation and treatment include but are not limited to the following:
- Gross motor skills, gait, and mobility
- Balance, coordination, core strength, and postural control
- Muscle strength and range of motion
- Sensory motor function and functional exercises
- Recommendation of adaptive equipment and devices
- Core strength
Occupational Therapy
The goal of occupational therapy is to improve independence and develop skills in order for children to participate appropriately in their daily life activities. At The Warren Center our occupational therapists assess a child’s current level of independence in their daily activities such as dressing, feeding, toileting, play skills, and age level table top skills. We help children develop and build skills important for independence, health, and well-being.
Areas our occupational therapists may provide evaluation and treatment include but are not limited to the following:
- Fine motor and gross motor development
- Strength and range of motion
- Coordination, balance, core strength and postural control
- Activities of daily living such as: feeding, dressing, bathing, hygiene
- Sensory processing skills
- Functional attention difficulties
- Organizational and play skills
Speech Language Therapy
The goal of speech language therapy is to help your child speak and understand language, increase vocabulary, and use clear speech sounds. At The Warren Center our speech therapists evaluate a child’s speech and language skills as well as feeding skills. We provide activities designed to help children develop and improve language and gain the skills necessary for daily interactions and activities.

TELETHERAPY SERVICES
It is like FaceTime or Skype, just more secure and can be done through a tablet, computer or with your phone! We are using the WebEx platform for each session. Getting started is simple. Your therapist will send you an email; you click on it, follow the directions and presto! It works just like the other video chat methods you currently use to keep in touch with friends and family.
