Social Skills Group & Parent Group
- Where: West – ongoing, Varied – summer
- Time: 45 min, weekly
- For Who: Autistic or Pragmatic Language Disorder Children 3-8 yrs
- Purpose: Providing opportunities for & facilitating competent social and sensory skills along with a parent support group.
- Description: Small group of peers participating in language and social skills activities while parents meet to discuss following through with strategies at home and gain support from other parents.
Lunch Bunch
- Where: Central – Summer
- Time: 1.5 hrs, 2x/week
- For Who: 3-5 yrs w/mixed receptive & expressive language disorders
- Purpose: Intensive language program providing therapy through theme based activities.
- Description: Therapists lead small group with theme based activities to promote continued increased language skills in the absence of Summer school programming.
Taste Buds
- Where: Central – Summer
- Time: 1 hr, weekly
- For Who: 3-8 yrs with feeding difficulties
- Purpose: Facilitating acceptance of a greater variety of foods for healthy bodies.
- Description: A food and fun play group to facilitate and establish meal time routines, introduce new foods into the diet and provide strategies for success. Also provides children an opportunity to engage socially with other children who are working on similar feeding goals. Parents observe to competently follow through with strategies at home.
