All guardians of patients will be given a paper form that gives their explicit agreement to receive text messages from The Warren Center about their child’s upcoming therapy appointment. These forms will be signed by the guardian of the child and kept in the patient file.
The Warren Center SMS Privacy Policy The Warren Center uses Short Message Service (SMS) and/or Instant Messaging (IM) to communicate with clients. Caregivers have the option to opt in for SMS or IM messaging. This is not a secure form of communication. Use of personal identifiers across non-secure forms of communication puts a family at risk of acquisition, access, use, or discloser of personal information by non-authorized individuals. We will not sell and do not sell your information. The Warren Center and its staff may contact, leave voice messages, and send text messages, to the phone number provided to them. These messages can include protected health information, such as patient name, appointment information, billing information, information that identifies the practice, and any clinical information. Text messages are not secure forms of communication. Consenting to these communication types, waive the rights to secure electronic communications. This authorization is valid until means of communication (phone number) has changed, until authorization is revoked, or until 12 months after completed treatment, whichever comes sooner. Once this authorization is revoked, no communication can take place across the previously authorized means. The Warren Center and its staff use SMS or IM text messaging to communicate the following: • Appointment conformations and reminders • Clinic updates • Caregiver education

The information obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

If you have consented to receive text messages from The Warren Center, you may receive messages related to the following:

Billing inquiries
An example of of a message you may receive would be “Hello, this is a friendly reminder of your upcoming appointment with (Therapist Name) at The Warren Center on Thursday February 13 at 12:00. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messaging at any time.”
3- Message Frequency:
Message frequency may vary. You may receive up to 2 SMS messages per week regarding your appointments or account status.
4- Potential Fees for SMS Messaging:
Please note that standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier’s pricing plan. These fees may vary if the message is sent domestically or internationally.

You may opt-in to receive SMS messages from The Warren Center in the following ways:

6- Opt-Out Method:
You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time. To do so, simply reply “STOP” to any SMS message you receive. Alternatively, you can contact us directly to request removal from our messaging list.

Additional Options:
If you do not wish to receive SMS messages, you can choose not to check the SMS consent box on our forms.
